Catering for 100 students, Southside Montessori School was begun in 1979 by a highly committed group of parents as an independent not-for-profit school for children aged 3 – 6. The school moved to the present premises in Riverwood where the school has expanded to incorporate a 0 -3 program and Stage 2 and 3 classes. Children remain at Southside until graduation to high school.

Positions

Principal - Southside Montessori School

Southside Montessori School (SMS) invites applications for a Principal who can take this vibrant, independent, non-denominational school into the next stage of its development. SMS offers the highest quality Montessori education for children from 18 months to12 years of age. This growing school currently caters for approximately 100 students.

Having operated for 30 years the school has built a strong reputation in the Georges River – Oatley area, largely thanks to the highly committed Montessori trained teachers. The staff is supported by an experienced board and an actively involved, culturally diverse parent body. The school is financially secure and looks forward to building additional facilities with recently received government funding.

The school is a short walk from Riverwood railway station and a 40 minute train ride from the heart of Sydney and its beautiful harbor. Sydney has a pleasant, temperate climate, a relaxed lifestyle and a wealth of cultural and sporting opportunities.
