At SMS parents are very involved in making the school a very special place for our children. We believe that the child is most likely to benefit from Montessori education when their parents take an active and consistent interest in the school and its philosophy.
Our school is largely run on the voluntary labour and efforts of the parents. In this way parents are brought closer to their child's environment, made aware of the needs of the school, and by participating in fundraising, administration and maintenance also help us make the best use of the school's funds. The school has reached its present standard thanks to the unselfish efforts of past parents as the school over long periods of time, and it is up to us all to ensure that this will continue.
