Southside is a diverse and vibrant school community working together to achieve a shared vision for the future. Our students travel far and wide from the Inner West to the St George and Sutherland Shire regions to find 'home' at Southside. Our school population represents 22 different cultural backgrounds, with our families speaking 15 languages in addition to English. A melting pot of cultures, talents and skills, our community shares a strong sense of identity reflective of Montessori philosophies.
Teachers and staff work in partnership with families to strengthen the link between school and home, fostering strong connections. Our community spirit can be actively observed in our communal gardens where you'll find our Flower Club members proudly tending to the vegetables and native flowers. Our parent volunteers can be found listening to our young children read, running special event days and coming together for working bees to beautify our school.
Southside relies on the generosity and enduring spirit of our community. Founders of the school as well as past families and alumni have worked to create a lasting legacy which reflects the rich history and evolution of Southside over the past 43 years. Our current families support this mission, with their contributions supporting the preservation of our history and future focused approach to 21st century Montessori education.
